Who’s Kerry?
Over the past 20 years I have had the opportunity to work on all aspects of visual design including, branding, packaging, user interface, and marketing, with the past decade being heavily focused on product design.
I follow a results focused process which involves first understanding the goals, who the audience is, and the desired outcomes. Involving engineering early on in a project has proved to be invaluable, and creates a partnership throughout the development stages. From early ideation, concepting, prototyping, testing, through execution…each stage is rewarding in its own way.
I received a BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in photography from Kendall College of Art and Design. During this time I was fortunate to study under seasoned industry professionals that gave me a strong foundation in typography, layout, and color theory. They emphasized design thinking, work ethic, and the importance of sketching early in the process.
After hours, I enjoy learning to cook new dishes, paddling with the Kukui’ula Outrigger Canoe Club, and going on hikes with our dog.
100Plus is the leading AI-assisted Remote Patient Monitoring platform for physician practices. As the Head of Design I was responsible for all visual aspects of the company including brand identity, marketing, patient portal, and their core product — the provider portal.
I was part of the fleet team, which is responsible for improving the experience and performance of 150,000+ couriers. From personally making deliveries, to shadowing couriers, conducting interviews, and analyzing data, I was able to learn what they needed most from the app used to complete deliveries, and track earnings.
June is a modern appliance company dedicated to bringing intelligence to the tools you use in the kitchen. Joining June soon after they founded presented the opportunity to work on all aspects of visual design including, branding, packaging, user interface, and marketing.
I was part of the team working on internal tools for Facebook. My biggest task was to design a platform that allows for efficient searching, filtering, claiming, reviewing, and scheduling of the 20,000 candidate applications received each month.
